Walk in the Light of the Truth

THIS IS THE MESSAGE WE HAVE HEARD FROM HIM AND DECLARE TO YOU: GOD IS LIGHT; IN HIM THERE IS NO DARKNESS AT ALL. IF WE CLAIM TO HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH HIM YET WALK IN THE DARKNESS, WE LIE AND DO NOT LIVE BY THE TRUTH. BUT IF WE WALK IN THE LIGHT, AS HE IS IN THE LIGHT, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER, AND THE BLOOD OF JESUS, HIS SON, PURIFIES US FROM ALL SIN
(1 John 1:5-7).

 Precious One, you need to know that to walk in the Light means to live by My Truth. Truth turns darkness into Light. Therefore, you cannot be in agreement with the negative, destructive beliefs of the OLD MAN and in agreement with the Truth, at the same time. You cannot heed the counsel of the father-of-lies and My Counsel, simultaneously. You cannot be a friend of the Light and be a friend of darkness, at the same time. Darkness and Light do not mix. They are incompatible. You are either in the dark, or in the Light. As soon as you turn on the Light, the darkness flees, and as soon as you turn off the Light, it is dark. The Light is turned on by the Truth, because whoever lives by the Truth comes into the Light. Be careful, Child. If you are walking in darkness, you are not living by the Truth. If you are living by the Truth, you will not walk in darkness.

BUT WHOEVER LIVES BY THE TRUTH COMES INTO THE LIGHT
(John 3:21).

Expose the darkness in your mind to the Light.  Lay open the beliefs that cause you to despair.  Bring to light the interpretations you have made about yourself…the assumptions you have made about your enemies…the conclusions you have formed about your friends.  Live by the Truth, so you can walk in the Light.

FOR THE FRUIT OF THE LIGHT CONSISTS IN ALL GOODNESS, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND TRUTH
(Ephesians 5:9).

 May you walk in the Light of the Truth.

“I am a mistake. I am abandoned. I am fatally flawed. I have disappointed God. I am a failure. I have no purpose. I am invisible. I am not special. I am a disgrace.” Which of these dark interpretations live in your mind?

Embrace these dark conclusions, then expose them to the Light, and they will be exchanged for the Truth, for the fruit of the Light…is Truth.

PRAYER: God of Light, help me to understand that to walk in Your Light means to live by Your Truth.  Your Light is the Truth.  Your Truth turns darkness into Light.

I embrace these painful interpretations that live in my mind, Lord God. I expose them to Your Light. Exchange them for Your Truth, so I may walk in Your Light.

How much of our misbehavior sprouts from trying to PROVE that we are acceptable, worthy, loved, and wanted, because the OLD MAN character, conveniently formed in us by the father-of-lies, christened us unacceptable, unworthy, unloved, and unwanted?

Your Mind

THE MIND OF SINFUL MAN IS DEATH
(Romans 8:6).

Did you know that God does not deem your mind trustworthy?  Why not?  Your mind is not dependable, because the father-of-lies has had access to your mind since the day you were born.  You are not the only one sharing your mind.  During the disconcerting childhood circumstances of your life, the father-of-lies lured you into deception: false conclusions…wrong interpretations…inaccurate assumptions.  Therefore, when you pull answers from your mind, you are also drawing false answers from the father-of-lies.

SO I TELL YOU THIS, AND INSIST ON IT IN THE LORD, THAT YOU MUST NO LONGER LIVE AS THE GENTILES DO, IN THE FUTILITY OF THEIR THINKING.  THEY ARE DARKENED IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND SEPARATED FROM THE LIFE OF GOD
(Ephesians 4:17-18).

Even after you have become a Christian, you must not live in the futility of your thinking, because your understanding is darkened by the father-of-lies.  In fact, he uses your own thoughts to separate you from God’s Presence and His Answers.

THE WEAPONS WE FIGHT WITH ARE NOT THE WEAPONS OF THE WORLD. ON THE CONTRARY, THEY HAVE DIVINE POWER TO DEMOLISH STRONGHOLDS. WE DEMOLISH ARGUMENTS AND EVERY PRETENSION THAT SETS ITSELF UP AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, AND WE TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT TO MAKE IT OBEDIENT TO CHRIST
(2 Corinthians 10:4-5).

What is your opinion about YOUR mind: that it is good…that it is trustworthy…that it knows the truth? Do you always rely on your mind to find a solution to your problem, your unworthiness, and your brokenness?  Do you run to your mind when things go wrong…when someone insults you…when someone fails you? 

I urge you to treat your mind as a deathtrap that is used by the father-of-lies, at any given moment in time.  Take every thought captive that enters your mind.  Question every belief that lives in your mind. Demolish every argument in your mind that has set itself up against the knowledge of God. Soon, you will notice the difference in your life.

PRAYER: God of Truth, keep me from running to my own mind-set when things go wrong…when someone insults me…when someone fails me.  Keep me from living in the futility of my thinking. Instead, let me look to You for answers to my problems, solutions to my unworthiness, and explanations to my brokenness, for only You know the Truth.

We do not understand what is going on within us and we are too afraid to find out. We are too afraid to live…and even more afraid to die.

Why Do You Run Away?

I am a runner—I run away from pain.  The other day, my Everlasting Father asked me, “Why do you always run away from pain?  Why don’t you stay?”  It was then that I pondered the question: Why don’t I stay?  Why don’t I stay and face my pain of feeling that I am invisible…of feeling that I don’t count…of feeling that I am a mistake?

I run from pain, because I believe that it is not safe to stay.  I believe that the pain will destroy me if I stayed and faced it.

I run from pain, because I believe that it is a sin to experience feelings of shame, condemnation, abandonment, and rejection; therefore, I need to escape these as soon as possible.

I run from pain, because I believe that if I run away from it, the pain will go away all by itself…and I will be safe. But then I asked God for HIS Perspective, and He answered:

NO TEMPTATION HAS SEIZED YOU EXCEPT WHAT IS COMMON TO MAN. AND GOD IS FAITHFUL; HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN BEAR. BUT WHEN YOU ARE TEMPTED, HE WILL ALSO PROVIDE A WAY OUT SO THAT YOU CAN STAND UP UNDER IT
(1 Corinthians 10:13).

Precious Child, if you stay and face your pain, you will not be destroyed by it, since I will not allow the father-of-lies to tempt you beyond what you can bear.  Instead, I Myself will provide a way out of your pain, so that you may stand up under it.

Know that your pain is not the sin. Your pain is only the symptom of an oppressing belief from the father-of-lies that serves to convince you to run from Me, in order to prevent you from finding My Answers to his beliefs of shame, condemnation, abandonment, and rejection.   

Understand, Child, that if you run away from your pain, instead of facing it, your pain will only get worse over time and lead you farther and farther away from Me…into sin.  But, if you stay and face it, I, your Everlasting Father, will have a chance to heal your heart with My Love, Hope, and Truth.

I AM THE VINE; YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. IF A MAN REMAINS IN ME AND I IN HIM, HE WILL BEAR MUCH FRUIT; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING
(John 15:5).

What are the reasons YOU run away from the pain in YOUR heart?

I encourage you to bring your reasons to the Lord God, and ask Him for His Perspective. You might be surprised at His answers…or even the fact that He DOES answer.

PRAYER: Lord God, thank you that You are faithful. Thank you that You have Answers. Thank you that You have a way out of all my temptations. Help me to stay and find out what Your Answers are

Your Father in Heaven Is the Taskmaster

TAKE CARE NOT TO DO YOUR GOOD DEEDS PUBLICLY OR BEFORE MEN, IN ORDER TO BE SEEN BY THEM; OTHERWISE YOU WILL HAVE NO REWARD [RESERVED FOR AND AWAITING YOU] WITH AND FROM YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN
(Matthew 6:1 AMP).

Many days I wake up and wonder, “What are the good works my Father has prepared for me, today?”  Since I have an intimate, personal relationship with God, I listen to Him to hear what He has planned for me for each day.  It took me awhile to stop doing ALL the good works that were available to me, to ONLY do the good works my Father has ordained specifically for me.

Beautiful One, I, your Father in Heaven, am aware of all the good works that you do.  But I want you to know that the good works that count the most to Me are the ones I have chosen for you before I even formed you. Know that I even made your unique spirit, soul, and body to match the specific tasks I had in mind for you. This is called My Purpose.

FOR WE ARE GOD’S WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS TO DO GOOD WORKS, WHICH GOD PREPARED IN ADVANCE FOR US TO DO
(Ephesians 2:10).

Precious Child, I want you to grasp that the good works that I, your Father in Heaven, have prepared for you, you will be doing for ME, not the recipients of your good deeds.  I am the Taskmaster…the Employer…the Manager.  You are accountable to ME.  Therefore, be determined to commit yourself to Me, only.  Look for payment from ME, only.  Receive your honor from ME, only.  Take care not to do your good works for people, in order to be rewarded by them; otherwise you will have no reward from ME, your Taskmaster in Heaven.

THEN YOUR FATHER, WHO SEES WHAT IS DONE IN SECRET, WILL REWARD YOU
(Matthew 6:4).

Which good works do you do, every day: the ones YOU have chosen for yourself, or the ones the FATHER IN HEAVEN has chosen for you? Not sure? Then, you need to stop ALL good works and establish a relationship with Him, first.

Understand that you need to become God’s workmanship, first, before you will find the good works HE has prepared for you, in advance. That means that you need to establish an intimate, personal relationship with Him, in order to hear His Voice. Then, He will tell you what HE has planned for you to do for Him.

PRAYER: Father in Heaven, call me to an intimate, personal relationship with You. Make me Your workmanship, created anew in Your Son, Jesus. Then, quicken my ears and my eyes that I may hear Your Voice and see Your Purpose for my life—the good works You have prepared for me.

Maintain an Awareness

We need to make sure that we expect Truth from the Spirit of Truth, who goes out from the Perfect Father, and not try to come up with our own counterfeit truth by logically trying to reason things out for ourselves.

Let Him Go Before You

I KNOW YOUR [RECORD OF] WORKS AND WHAT YOU ARE DOING.  SEE! I HAVE SET BEFORE YOU A DOOR WIDE OPEN WHICH NO ONE IS ABLE TO SHUT; I KNOW THAT YOU HAVE BUT LITTLE POWER, AND YET YOU HAVE KEPT MY WORD AND GUARDED MY MESSAGE AND HAVE NOT RENOUNCED OR DENIED MY NAME
(Revelation 3:8 AMP).

Beloved One, I Myself am going before you to open the door wide open through which I want you to enter.  Understand that it is not up to you to find your own door and force your way in.  It is not up to you to look and find My Will; instead, I will reveal it to you when and while you obey Me.

WHOEVER HAS MY COMMANDS AND OBEYS THEM, HE IS THE ONE WHO LOVES ME. HE WHO LOVES ME WILL BE LOVED BY MY FATHER, AND I TOO WILL LOVE HIM AND SHOW MYSELF TO HIM”
(John 14:21).

Therefore, obey My Counsel. Hear My Voice. Seek only My Will. Then, follow Me through the door I will show you, as I guide you into all Truth and make My Will known to you.

Know that the door I open for you no one and nothing will be able to shut: not your lack of power, neither your lack of resources, nor your lack of knowledge, hope, or love.  You only have to obey…and follow!  Along with the open door, I will provide everything else you need.

I WILL LEAD THE BLIND BY WAYS THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN, ALONG UNFAMILIAR PATHS I WILL GUIDE THEM; I WILL TURN THE DARKNESS INTO LIGHT BEFORE THEM AND MAKE THE ROUGH PLACES SMOOTH. THESE ARE THE THINGS I WILL DO; I WILL NOT FORSAKE THEM
(Isaiah 42:16).

Are you using your own strength to push doors open, trying to live God’s Will for your life?

Do not speed ahead of God, searching frantically for an open door.  Instead, fall in step behind Him. Obey Him. Follow Him.  Let Him show you the way. Then, when you cannot see, He will turn the darkness into Light before you.  He Himself will lead you when you are in unfamiliar places. He will make all the rough places smooth. Do not be afraid. He will not forsake you. Just follow Him…from behind.

PRAYER: Abba, I look to You for guidance.  I have not renounced or denied Your Name.  I have obeyed You and look to You to open the doors.  You are the only one who can open doors which no one can shut. I need you to open the doors that have been shut for so long, since I have but little power. Make Your Will known to me. Make the rough places smooth, O Lord. Turn my darkness into Light.

Steps I Use to Surrender

Describe the SITUATION that evoked your feelings of sadness, badness, or madness.

Example: Today, while we were driving, I felt very sad when my husband spoke to me in a gruff manner, after I asked him to slow down his driving for me around a dangerous curve.

Focusing on the FEELINGS evoked by this incident, find your PERTURBING PERCEPTION of the situation and the people involved, especially yourself.

Example: I felt intense sadness in my heart during this incident. My perturbing perception was that I did not count, and that I did not matter to anyone, not even my husband.

Still focusing on the feelings, find the PLACE during your life where you felt like this FOR THE FIRST TIME, whether that be this day, last year, or fifty years ago.

Example: Focusing on the sadness, I discovered a memory that matched it: I was about eight years old. I had just cleaned the whole kitchen floor while my parents were out shopping and could not wait for them to come back and be proud of me. But after they returned from shopping, my dad walked over my clean floor with his dirty shoes. When I tried to tell him not to dirty my newly washed floor, he was gruff with me, the same way my husband was with me when we were driving.

INVITE GOD’S PRESENCE AND PARTICIPATION into your feelings, perceptions, and place where you experienced these for the first time. Allow Him to exchange your perception for His Perspective—THE TRUTH.

Example: Lord Jesus, I invite You into this place of sadness in my heart. Although my mind is telling me that I am unimportant and do not count because my dad walked over my clean floor (and my husband does not want to slow his driving down just for me), I surrender my own perception to You and ask for Your Truth.

Allow God to SPEAK into your feelings of sadness and your perturbing perception that nobody cares about you. LISTEN for His voice. LOOK inside the memory and see, hear, and feel if there is anything different there. God speaks in many different ways. Be open, and be patient.

Example: While focusing on the memory where I felt unimportant for the first time, I saw, with the eyes of my heart, a little girl standing in front of her daddy. She was wearing a royal robe and a crown. Then I heard with the ears of my heart: “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:9). I knew that I counted. I mattered. I was important, because I was important to God and I counted to Him. My feeling of sadness disappeared. Today, I know that I count, even when my husband is gruff.

Has there been a situation this week that evoked feelings of sadness, madness, or badness in you? Do not focus on what someone said or did to you. Instead, turn your heart to you own interpretation of the situation, because our interpretations were sold under sin to the father-of-lies. Find out where this interpretation entered your mind for the first time, and surrender it to God to receive His Truth…and a new heart.

Be certain that your Father DOES answer your prayers, but His Answer might be different from the one you are expecting.  It might be radical… revolutionary…extreme.  His Answer might not fit your purpose, but it will fit God’s Purpose for you.

Do Not Mind Read

SO I TELL YOU THIS, AND INSIST ON IT IN THE LORD, THAT YOU MUST NO LONGER LIVE AS THE GENTILES DO, IN THE FUTILITY OF THEIR THINKING.  THEY ARE DARKENED IN THEIR UNDERSTANDING AND SEPARATED FROM THE LIFE OF GOD
(Ephesians 4:17-18).

I urge you to be watchful of mind-reading.  Be aware that trying to read another person’s mind could become a very dangerous open door for the father-of-lies to deliver rejection, unworthiness, and shame to your vulnerable heart.  Know that the father-of-lies is an opportunist.  Speculating and taking for granted another person’s reasons for enactment could give access to the darkness of despair.  Assuming another person’s motives could unlock helplessness, powerlessness, and hopelessness.  Know that the father-of-lies will use your mind-reading as an open door to express falsity, to bestow deception—to deliver his lies.

YOU, HOWEVER, DID NOT COME TO KNOW CHRIST THAT WAY. SURELY YOU HEARD OF HIM AND WERE TAUGHT IN HIM IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE TRUTH THAT IS IN JESUS
(Ephesians 4:20-21).

Do not assume that you know why someone did or said something.  Your facts might be correct, but your interpretations most likely are not. Why not? The father-of-lies uses our interpretations as the medium to carry his lies.

Therefore, live in accordance with the Truth that is in Jesus.  This means: Ask Jesus for His interpretations, instead of making up your own. STOP MINDREADING!

THEREFORE, REJECTING ALL FALSITY AND BEING DONE NOW WITH IT, LET EVERYONE EXPRESS THE TRUTH WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, FOR WE ARE ALL PARTS OF ONE BODY AND MEMBERS ONE OF ANOTHER
(Ephesians 4:25).

Why do you mind-read? What satisfaction are you getting from it? Are the interpretations you are falsely making about others and yourself feeding your hungry emotions, your crooked mind, or your ugly heart?

I urge you to put off your mind-reading. Reject falsity. Know that the father-of-lies is behind your mind-reading, every inch of the way. He enjoys it when you make false interpretations about others and yourself. This is how he lures you into sinful actions. This is how he steals your joy, your love, and your heart.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, make me watchful of mind-reading—making false interpretations about others and myself, whenever I get the chance. Instead, help me to reject falsity and be done with it. Bring me to the place where I will express Your Truth with my neighbors, friends, and family members, and realize that we are all parts of one body and members of one another.

Thus, the OLD MAN became the origin of sin that causes the effect of sin in each of us. The OLD MAN is where it all started and where it all ends…unless we are delivered from it.

Be Mindful When the Enemy Knocks

THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL AND KILL AND DESTROY
(John 10:10).

I bless you to be mindful when the father-of-lies knocks on the door of your heart.  Know that your heart is vulnerable…susceptible to attack…easily hurt.

HE WAS A MURDERER FROM THE BEGINNING, NOT HOLDING TO THE TRUTH, FOR THERE IS NO TRUTH IN HIM
 (John 8:44).

Therefore, keep the door to your heart shut…locked…bolted and barred, when the murderer knocks.  Know that the accuser only needs a sliver of an opening to push the door wide open and rush in.  When he detects an opening, he loses no time.  He will bombard you with everything he is able to drag in: condemnation, abandonment, shame, and rejection.

BE SELF-CONTROLLED AND ALERT. YOUR ENEMY THE DEVIL PROWLS AROUND LIKE A ROARING LION LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO DEVOUR
(1 Peter 5:8).

Understand that once the door is open, it is extremely hard to close it again, once you have welcomed the enemy with all his lies and deceit.  It is far better to keep the door to your heart shut and sealed from the start, than to try and close it, once you have given the father-of-lies right of entry.  He will not be eager to leave.

SUBMIT YOURSELVES, THEN, TO GOD. RESIST THE DEVIL, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU
(James 4:7).

May you understand that it is through your thoughts that the roaring lion finds an open door.  Therefore, submit each thought to God for approval, before you start accepting, believing, and obeying it.  Reject each thought that is not from God, keeping the door to your vulnerable heart shut and padlocked.

What do you do with your daily thoughts: do you accept and believe each one, or do you screen them, as they come in?

I urge you to use discernment with your daily thoughts. Distinguish between the thoughts that cause your heart to hurt, and the thoughts that bring your heart joy. Make sure you take the thoughts that hurt your heart to the Lord Jesus, as soon as you get a chance, so that you may shut the door to the roaring lion, as soon as possible.

PRAYER: Most High, make me mindful of my thoughts, so I may know which thoughts to accept and which thoughts to reject. Help me to not hold onto hurtful thoughts, but submit them to You, for Truth, as soon as they enter my heart.

Maintain an Awareness

If the way we meet the desire to be important is not through a deep, meaningful relationship with the Desire of All Nations, then wanting to be important becomes a race with no finish line.

Be Mindful When You Open the Door

BEHOLD, I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK; IF ANYONE HEARS AND LISTENS TO AND HEEDS MY VOICE AND OPENS THE DOOR, I WILL COME IN TO HIM AND WILL EAT WITH HIM, AND HE [WILL EAT] WITH ME
(Revelation 3:20).

Be mindful to whom you open the door to your heart.  Know that your heart is vulnerable…susceptible to attack…easily hurt.

Therefore, listen carefully who is knocking at your heart’s door. Listen intently to the voice behind the closed door.  Give your full attention. Heed the words…and their intentions. Make sure it is the Lord Jesus, before you unbolt the latch.

BUT WHEN HE, THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, COMES, HE WILL GUIDE YOU INTO ALL TRUTH. HE WILL NOT SPEAK ON HIS OWN; HE WILL SPEAK ONLY WHAT HE HEARS
(John 16:13).

My Beloved, may you discern between the pure Voice of Truth of My Holy Spirit…and the empty voice of the father-of-lies.  Know that when the Spirit of Truth knocks, He will offer you Hope, Peace, and Joy.  He will never knock with a voice of despair.  Understand that when the Holy Spirit knocks, He will propose Light, Power, and Life.  He will never suggest darkness, powerlessness, and death.  When the Spirit knocks, He will set before you Wholeness, Holiness, and Wisdom.  He will never put forward brokenness, unrighteousness, and confusion.  He will not speak on His own, but will only speak what He hears from Jesus…and Jesus will only speak what He hears from Me, the Perfect Father.

HE WILL BRING GLORY TO ME BY TAKING FROM WHAT IS MINE AND MAKING IT KNOWN TO YOU.  ALL THAT BELONGS TO THE FATHER IS MINE
(John 16:14-15).

To whom have you decided to open your heart’s door? Who got permission to control YOUR heart, each moment of each day: the father-of-lies…or the Spirit of Truth?

Make a decision, today, from whom your heart is going to receive its counsel. Then, stick to your decision, daily, moment-by-moment, even when hopelessness tempts you to run away, when anger tempts you to blame others for you dilemma, and when fear tempts you to hide.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to discern between Your Voice of Truth and the voice of deception from the father-of-lies. Help me to only take counsel from You, because what belongs to You belongs to the Perfect Father, the Most High God.

Therefore, do not despair of the evil done against you: the insincerity…the depravity…the immorality.  They might have meant evil against you; BUT GOD will cancel the effects of any evil done against you, in the past, in the present, and in the future, if you submit to His discipline.

Two Opposing Purposes

FOR THEY THAT ARE AFTER THE FLESH DO MIND THE THINGS OF THE FLESH; BUT THEY THAT ARE AFTER THE SPIRIT THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT
(Romans 8:5).

Discern that your life is based on one of two purposes: the purpose to live according to your natural Self…or the purpose to live in accordance with the Spirit of Jesus. 

HE THAT COMMITTETH SIN IS OF THE DEVIL; FOR THE DEVIL SINNETH FROM THE BEGINNING
(1 John 3:8).

Know that the goals of these two purposes are opposing…conflicting…incompatible.  The natural Self is obligated to please the father-of-lies, but the Spirit is set to please the Perfect Father.  The natural Self obeys the OLD MAN, the set of negative, destructive conclusions instilled in our minds by the father-of-lies; the Spirit obeys the NEW MAN, Jesus Christ. The natural Self reacts to the negative, destructive OLD MAN conclusions through sinful defense habits and patterns of hiding, running to distraction and destruction, and blaming others. The Spirit contains the Truth of Jesus, and does not have to sin. Therefore, at any given moment in your life, you are living either to please the father-of-lies…or to please the Perfect Father.  There is no middle ground!

FOR THIS PURPOSE THE SON OF GOD WAS MANIFESTED, THAT HE MIGHT DESTROY THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL
(1 John 3:8).

Understand that you need to make a choice, whether you are going to live your life according to your natural Self…and sin, or live your life according to the Spirit of Jesus, who was manifested that He might destroy the works of the OLD MAN conclusions in your spirit, soul, and body.

THEREFORE, BROTHERS, WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION…IF BY THE SPIRIT YOU PUT TO DEATH THE MISDEEDS OF THE BODY, YOU WILL LIVE
(Romans 8:12-13).

Whose works are being displayed in your life: the works of the father-of-lies…or the works of the Perfect Father?

Know your moment-by-moment choices: to live according to the natural Self and obey the OLD MAN conclusions…or to live according to the Spirit and allow Jesus to put to death these negative, destructive OLD MAN conclusions, instilled in your mind by the father-of-lies.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, how encouraged I am that I do not have to live my life according to the negative, destructive OLD MAN conclusions…and sin. How glad I am that I have a choice. Today, I am making that choice: to allow You to destroy the works of the father-of-lies in my life…to allow Your Spirit to put to death the conclusions that have controlled my spirit, soul, and body, so that I may live.

Maintain an Awareness

We have all eaten from the fruit of deception—believing and accepting negative, destructive beliefs about ourselves, God, and others that are not true.

The Two Counsels
