The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus

Do you have issues like fear, hatred, despair, and jealousy in your heart?  I have had all these things combined living in my heart.  You are not alone!

FOR IF, WHEN WE WERE GOD’S ENEMIES, WE WERE RECONCILED TO HIM THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS SON, HOW MUCH MORE, HAVING BEEN RECONCILED, SHALL WE BE SAVED THROUGH HIS LIFE!
 (Romans 5:10).

For a long time after I had become a Christian, I believed that my sins had been forgiven…now I was on my own.  Jesus did His job…now it was my turn to do mine—to start the process of getting rid of my hatred, jealousy, fear, and despair.

However, my Perfect Father showed me there was MUCH MORE than just forgiveness that was available to me.  The Lord Jesus was not done with His job in me.  In fact, it had only begun!  I was reconciled through His death…now I needed to be saved through His Life.

THROUGH CHRIST JESUS THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE SET ME FREE FROM THE LAW OF SIN AND DEATH
(Romans 8:2).

Understand that fear, hatred, jealousy, and despair do not live in your heart as single separate entities.  Instead, these are emotional reactions to the OLD MAN—the set of negative, destructive beliefs instilled in your mind by the father-of-lies.

KNOWING THIS, THAT OUR OLD MAN IS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM, THAT THE BODY OF SIN MIGHT BE DESTROYED, THAT HENCEFORTH WE SHOULD NOT SERVE SIN
(Romans 6:6).

Child, celebrate that I, Jesus, redeemed you from the OLD MAN. I took the negative, destructive beliefs form the father-of-lies upon Me; then, nailed them to the cross with Me, so that you do not have to live your life reacting to them in hatred, jealousy, despair and fear anymore. Then, I came to replace the OLD MAN with My Life in your heart.

Are you struggling with jealousy, hatred, fear, and despair? What are the negative, destructive OLD MAN beliefs supporting these painful emotions? Remember, the heart feels what the mind believes.

What would it take for you to take your OLD MAN beliefs to the cross and hand them over to the Lord Jesus where they have been crucified?

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I rejoice that You came to redeem me from the OLD MAN, the set of negative, destructive beliefs that are responsible for the hatred, jealousy, despair, and fear in my heart.  I lay these OLD MAN beliefs down at the cross to which You have already nailed them, so I may be set free from the law of sin and death….and live.

Maintain an Awareness

If you would turn to the Desire of All Nations and receive the Love, Righteousness, and Purpose He has stored up for you in His Presence, you will be satisfied.

You Have a Purpose

AS THE FATHER HAS LOVED ME, SO HAVE I LOVED YOU. NOW REMAIN IN MY LOVE. IF YOU OBEY MY COMMANDS, YOU WILL REMAIN IN MY LOVE, JUST AS I HAVE OBEYED MY FATHER’S COMMANDS AND REMAIN IN HIS LOVE.  I HAVE TOLD YOU THIS SO THAT MY JOY MAY BE IN YOU AND THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE COMPLETE
 (John 15:9-11).

Have you ever wondered about your purpose in life?  I have.  I think about it a lot.  It is a very important part of my life—to have a purpose.  You know, the Perfect Father made you this way—to want a purpose.

I have noticed that my life falls apart as soon as I do not feel loved by God.  It is then when I become very sad.  It is then when I think this life is not worth living.  It is then when I feel purposeless.

AS THE FATHER HAS LOVED ME, SO HAVE I LOVED YOU. NOW REMAIN IN MY LOVE…JUST AS I…REMAIN IN HIS LOVE.

Beautiful One, your first purpose is to remain in My Love, just as I remain in My Father’s Love. If you listen to My Voice, daily, you will remain in My Love, just as I have listened to My Father’s Voice, daily.  My Love is indispensable for the maintaining and protection of your life.  Without it, life is full of hopelessness and hatred.  Without it, being a Christian will not make sense to you.  Without it, you will have no purpose and no joy.  My Love is your lifeline! 

I HAVE TOLD YOU THIS SO THAT MY JOY MAY BE IN YOU AND THAT YOUR JOY MAY BE COMPLETE.

Do you have an intense desire to experience God’s Love? Do you wish your life had a purpose? Then, start listening to the Voice of His Spirit in your heart. Do what He has asked of you, already. Obey the promptings of His Spirit that have been sitting in your heart for a while.

When He tells you that He loves you, it will not matter that your earthly daddy did not love you, or that you mother did not want you, or that your friends did not want to play with you when you were little. You will be filled with Joy.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, draw me into Your Purpose—into a relationship with You. Let me live in Your Love, the way You lived in the Perfect Father’s Love. Help me to realize that it is my responsibility to come to You to be loved, instead of looking for Your Love in all the wrong places. Then, through my relationship with You, Your Joy will be in me and my Joy will become complete.

How often do we find ourselves doing “good deeds,” just to find out that our “good deeds” were not really good, but merely a reaction to the OLD MAN belief “You are bad”?

Know the Truth

NOW THE SERPENT WAS MORE SUBTLE AND CRAFTY THAN ANY LIVING CREATURE OF THE FIELD WHICH THE LORD GOD HAD MADE
 (Genesis 3:1).

I have come to experience that the enemy, the father-of-lies, is indeed very crafty.  Many different things happened to me throughout my life, but what shaped my mind the most was not what people said and did to me, but what I came to believe about myself in response to what the CRAFTY ONE said to me.

STAND FIRM THEN, WITH THE BELT OF TRUTH BUCKLED AROUND YOUR WAIST
 (Ephesians 6:14).

I have learned that the Truth of Jesus is one of the most valuable assets in our lives.  I have noticed that the truth that people give us is not nearly as powerful as the Truth that Jesus discloses.  People can guess what you need to hear and believe about yourself; however, it is only the Lord Jesus who knows exactly what you need to hear and believe about yourself, because He knows what the CRAFTY ONE told you.

Buckle the Belt of Truth around your waist.  Know that as you clasp on the Truth, you are not putting on a thing, but a Person—the Person of Jesus Christ.  Understand that when people tell you the truth, the lie in your mind might continue to exist, but when Jesus tells you the Truth, you will be released from what you came to believe about yourself: that you are an alien…that you are deformed…that you are an outcast. The Truth that Jesus Christ speaks to you will set you free, because He IS the Truth.

JESUS ANSWERED, ‘I AM THE WAY AND THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE’
(John 14:6).

Think about it. What shaped YOUR life the most: what people did or said to you, or what you came to believe about yourself and those around you? What are you going to do about this?

Stop running to people for advice when you feel abandoned, shamed, rejected, and condemned. What they can give you is advice…only. Bring your beliefs of shame, condemnation, abandonment, and rejection to the Lord Jesus, instead. Tell Him how you feel. Tell Him what you believe about yourself. Ask Him to meet you at the place where this belief was planted in your mind and heart, for the first time. Receive the Truth.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, how I value Your Truth! I praise You for being the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Thank you for making Yourself available to me, so I may be set free from what the CRAFTY ONE told me about myself.

Discipline, the training to enter God’s Holiness, cannot be exercised AFTER we have already entered a route of escape to resort to a sinful solution.

Life Storms Are Opportunities

BE JOYFUL IN HOPE, PATIENT IN AFFLICTION, FAITHFUL IN PRAYER
(Romans 12:12).

I encourage you to be patient in your current affliction, regarding distress with acceptance and tolerance.  If you are a child of God, do not consider the storms of your life as something bad and harmful, trying to escape them as soon as possible.  Stay. Be patient. Learn.

NOW NO CHASTENING FOR THE PRESENT SEEMETH TO BE JOYOUS, BUT GRIEVOUS: NEVERTHELESS AFTERWARD IT YIELDETH THE PEACEABLE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS UNTO THEM WHICH ARE EXERCISED THEREBY
(Hebrews 12:11).

Precious One, consider your life storms as opportunities to become a partaker of My Holiness: a chance to embrace My Truth, to experience My Love, and to obtain My Hope.  Consider your storms as favorable circumstances to become free from the painful beliefs of unworthiness and non-acceptance that have crippled you, all your life.

WHEREFORE LIFT UP THE HANDS WHICH HANG DOWN, AND THE FEEBLE KNEES; AND MAKE STRAIGHT PATHS FOR YOUR FEET, LEST THAT WHICH IS LAME BE TURNED OUT OF THE WAY; BUT LET IT RATHER BE HEALED
(Hebrews 12:12-13).

Understand, Child, that if you hide from your own heart, run from your own pain, or blame your unfavorable circumstances on something or someone else, you will miss the opportunity to receive the peaceable Fruit of Righteousness, which is given to those who have allowed Me to train them in My Discipline.

Is your heart broken because of what you have been going through? Do you feel like running away from the current storm in your life, and hide where nobody can find you? Or have you taken the route of blaming others for this storm in your life? 

Face the storm…with God. Now is the time to ask questions…to God and demand answers…from God. Now is not the time to run to others, to hide in distraction or destruction, or to blame the circumstances. This will not help you, but God can, and will…if you run to Him.

PRAYER: Abba Father, I invite Your Presence and Participation into this storm in my life.  Work Your Peace and Righteousness in me as I crawl under Your Wings of Protection and Comfort, laying the beliefs of abandonment, shame, condemnation, and rejection at Your feet in exchange for Your Answers of Hope, Love, and Truth.

You Have an Obligation

YOU, HOWEVER, ARE CONTROLLED NOT BY THE SINFUL NATURE BUT BY THE SPIRIT, IF THE SPIRIT OF GOD LIVES IN YOU. AND IF ANYONE DOES NOT HAVE THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, HE DOES NOT BELONG TO CHRIST.  BUT IF CHRIST IS IN YOU, YOUR BODY IS DEAD BECAUSE OF SIN, YET YOUR SPIRIT IS ALIVE BECAUSE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.  AND IF THE SPIRIT OF HIM WHO RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD IS LIVING IN YOU, HE WHO RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD WILL ALSO GIVE LIFE TO YOUR MORTAL BODIES THROUGH HIS SPIRIT, WHO LIVES IN YOU
(Romans 8:9-11).

Believe that if you have accepted the Lord Jesus as your Savior, the Spirit of God lives in you, and your spirit has been made alive by God’s Spirit.  God’s Spirit has imbued your spirit with His Righteousness.

THEREFORE, BROTHERS, WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION—BUT IT IS NOT TO THE SINFUL NATURE, TO LIVE ACCORDING TO IT
(Romans 8:12).

However, although your spirit is made alive by God’s Spirit, your mind and the rest of your body is dead because of sin still living in it.  God controls your spirit, but it is up to you whether you will let Him control your mind, your emotions, and your actions and reactions through His Spirit, as well.

FOR IF YOU LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SINFUL NATURE, YOU WILL DIE; BUT IF BY THE SPIRIT YOU PUT TO DEATH THE MISDEEDS OF THE BODY, YOU WILL LIVE, BECAUSE THOSE WHO ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD ARE SONS OF GOD
(Romans 8:13-14).

Know that you have a daily choice: to either submit your mind, emotions, and actions to God’s Spirit who lives in your spirit, or to submit your mind, emotions, and actions to the OLD MAN victim nature.

What will it take for you to allow the Spirit of God to take control of your whole spirit, soul, and body and therefore be led by His Spirit, in your mind, your emotions, and your actions and reactions?

PRAYER: Lord God, I authorize Your Spirit to lead the thoughts in my mind, to lead my emotions, and to lead my actions and reaction, because those who are led by Your Spirit are sons of God.  Be my Righteousness.  Be my Holiness.  Be my Wisdom. Bring my whole spirit, soul, and body in line with Your Spirit.

Know that your struggle is not against the people or the circumstances in your life, but against the spiritual forces of evil—against the OLD MAN beliefs of abandonment, shame, condemnation, and rejection.

Doing Whatever Is Right in Your Own Eyes

YOU SHALL NOT DO ACCORDING TO ALL WE DO HERE [IN THE CAMP] THIS DAY, EVERY MAN DOING WHATEVER LOOKS RIGHT IN HIS OWN EYES
(Deuteronomy 12:8).

One of the biggest lessons I have learned is NOT to do whatever looks right in my own eyes.  Doing what is right in my own eyes means to believe every thought—positive or negative—that enters my mind, even the thought that I have no worth. Doing what is right in my own eyes means to lean on my own understanding, even the understanding that I am not loved. Doing what is right in my own eyes means to rely on my own perturbing perceptions, even the perceptions that I am fatally flawed and rejected.

Doing what is right in my own eyes means to live according to my own sinful nature, following the negative, destructive beliefs instilled in my mind by the father-of-lies. Doing what is right in my own eyes means to do my own thing, in my own way, at my own time.

THEREFORE, BROTHERS, WE HAVE AN OBLIGATION—BUT IT IS NOT TO THE SINFUL NATURE, TO LIVE ACCORDING TO IT.  FOR IF YOU LIVE ACCORDING TO THE SINFUL NATURE, YOU WILL DIE; BUT IF BY THE SPIRIT YOU PUT TO DEATH THE MISDEEDS OF THE BODY, YOU WILL LIVE, BECAUSE THOSE WHO ARE LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD ARE SONS OF GOD
(Romans 8:12-14).

Precious Child, you need to know that it does not pay off to do whatever is right in your own eyes, because it leads to death in your spirit, in your mind, and in your body. It leads to despair, guilt, jealousy, and hatred. It leads to darkness.

 Are you looking for Love, Light, and Life?

Then, stop living according what is right in your own eyes. Instead, bring your perturbing perceptions to the Lord Jesus. Allow Him to lead you by His Spirit of Truth into new beliefs of Acceptance, Worth, and Belonging.  Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.  They will find Love, Light, and Life!

PRAYER: Lord God, I realize that in order to walk in Your Love, Light, and Life, I have an obligation: to stop doing what is right in my own eyes, because my natural assumptions are not reliable, and my natural way of perceiving people and circumstances are not in line with Your Perspective.

Therefore, lead me by Your Spirit. Guide me with Your Truth. Nourish me with Your Hope. Furnish me with Your Life.

Jesus, the Tree of Life

I AM THE VINE; YOU ARE THE BRANCHES. IF A MAN REMAINS IN ME AND I IN HIM, HE WILL BEAR MUCH FRUIT; APART FROM ME YOU CAN DO NOTHING
(John 15:5).

I have noticed that there are two separate worlds out there: the world of Truth and the world of deception.  I would be living in the world of Truth, until, suddenly, a negative thought enters my mind; I accept it, and fall into a deep pit of pain—the world of deception.  Everything is fine one moment…and utterly awful the next.  Once I have fallen into this pit of pain, nothing seems to come together for me.  Other negative thoughts start bombarding me, and soon despair enters.  Inside this dark pit lurks a different world than the one of Love, Hope, and Truth in which I was just living, a minute before.

IF ANYONE DOES NOT REMAIN IN ME, HE IS LIKE A BRANCH THAT IS THROWN AWAY AND WITHERS; SUCH BRANCHES ARE PICKED UP, THROWN INTO THE FIRE AND BURNED
(John 15:6).

Child, be aware that as soon as you receive, accept, and believe a negative, destructive belief of the OLD MAN, you enter into the world of deception, where the father-of-lies rules.  Here, there is no Truth, but only doom, damnation, and despair. Here, you wither away very quickly.

Stay in Me, Child. Do not follow the negative, destructive beliefs of the father-of-lies into deception. Remain in Me—the Truth, the Way, and the Life—and you will bear much fruit.

JESUS SAITH UNTO HIM, I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE: NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME
(John 14:6).

May you stay connected to the Tree of Life, at all times.  Consider the Perfect Father to be the root of the tree…and Jesus, the trunk…and you, the branch.  When you are sad, invite the Hope of the Lord Jesus into your sadness.  When you are mad, invite the Love of the Lord Jesus into your madness.  When you are bad, invite the saving Power of the Redeemer into your badness. Know that in this Tree of Life is available all the sap—Power, Hope, and Love—that you will ever need to live and stay in the world of Truth.

PRAYER: Thank you, Lord Jesus, for being my Vine! Help me to understand that Your Truth is only one belief away, and that as soon as I am disconnected from your Truth, I am connected to a lie, and as soon as I am disconnected from the lie, I am connected to Your Truth.

Keep me connected to You, Lord God, My Vine—my Way, my Life, and my Truth.

We run…and run…and run. We run towards bad distractions and destructions like alcohol, drugs, or even crime, or we run towards good distractions like entertainment, or our husbands, wives, friends, or counselors.

Freedom

IT IS FOR FREEDOM THAT CHRIST HAS SET US FREE. STAND FIRM, THEN, AND DO NOT LET YOURSELVES BE BURDENED AGAIN BY A YOKE OF SLAVERY
(Galatians 5:1).

Know that it is for freedom that the Lord Jesus has set you free: freedom from helplessness…freedom from hopelessness…freedom from powerlessness…freedom from shame…freedom from guilt…freedom from fear…freedom from abandonment…freedom from unworthiness…freedom from condemnation…freedom from sin…freedom from believing that you are a bad person…freedom from rejection—FREEDOM FROM YOUR YOKE OF SLAVERY!

FOR THE LORD GIVES WISDOM; FROM HIS MOUTH COME KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
(Proverbs 2:6).

Beautiful One, allow My Counsel into your heart, then My Wisdom will set you free from the negative belief that you do not belong. Invite My Holy Spirit to renew your mind, then My Power will set you free from the oppressing belief that you do not count. Allow My Perspective into your thoughts, then My Truth will set you free from the accusatory thought that you are a lesser being. Throw your arms wide open and receive the freedom that I, Christ Jesus, hold out to you, Child.  Then, stand firm in this freedom, and do not allow the father-of-lies to lure you back into the yoke of slavery with his beliefs of condemnation, abandonment, rejection, and shame.

SO IF THE SON SETS YOU FREE, YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED
(John 8:36).

Are you burdened with a yoke of slavery? Are you inundated with fear? Are you ruled by depression? Are you submerged in shame? Are you scorned by rejection?

Know that the Lord Jesus can set you free from ANYTHING! All you need to do is invite His Presence and Participation into your yoke of slavery.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Light of the World, the King of Kings, the Author and Finisher of my faith, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, the Prince of Peace, my High Priest. Nothing is impossible for You. I invite Your Presence and Participation to set me free from my yoke of slavery, even today.

When God speaks to us, we receive a revelation—a secret or surprising fact that is made known to us by the Father through the Spirit of Truth.

There IS a Way Out

AND GOD IS FAITHFUL; HE WILL NOT LET YOU BE TEMPTED BEYOND WHAT YOU CAN BEAR. BUT WHEN YOU ARE TEMPTED, HE WILL ALSO PROVIDE A WAY OUT SO THAT YOU CAN STAND UP UNDER IT
(1 Corinthians 10:13).

If I could define hopelessness, I would describe it as a place where there is no hope—A PLACE WHERE THERE IS NO WAY OUT.  When I am hopeless, I feel that I am at a dead-end.  I feel that I am stuck.  I feel trapped.  There is no way out…no solution…no answer.  The father-of-lies is cunning. At this stage of the game, he is ready for his next suggestion: You have been tempted beyond what you can bear.  Then the evil one offers HIS way out of the hopelessness: hiding behind a smile or a mask, running away to distraction or destruction, and blaming those, near an dear.

BUT THANKS BE TO GOD, WHO GIVES US THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
(1 Corinthians 15:57).

Precious One, to Me there is no such thing as hopelessness, because THERE IS NO PLACE WITHOUT MY HOPE. There is no situation where I am not able to provide a way out. However, you need to stop making the father-of-lies’ suggestions your way out when he tempts you with hopelessness. When you are tempted, you need to submit the oppressing beliefs that cause your hopelessness to Me. Make Me your Defense and Refuge in your day of trouble. Then, I will show you My way out, so that you can stand up under it.”

BUT I WILL SING OF YOUR POWER; YES, I WILL SING ALOUD OF YOUR MERCY IN THE MORNING; FOR YOU HAVE BEEN MY DEFENSE AND REFUGE IN THE DAY OF MY TROUBLE
(Psalm 59:16).

Are you at a dead-end?  Are you stuck?  Are you trapped?  How is the father-of-lies tempting you with hopelessness? What does he suggest as the only way out?

Are you willing to make God your Defense and Refuge in the day of your trouble? Then, stop hiding, running, and blaming. Instead, submit your hopelessness to Him, together with the beliefs that are causing it. Ask Him to show you HIS WAY OUT.

PRAYER: Almighty God, who is mighty like You? Your faithfulness surrounds us. You rule the sea; when its waves rise, You still them. When we pass through the waters, You are our Defense. You fight for us. You are our Refuge. You give us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ—Your Way Out.

Blaming others and blaming yourself will not get rid of the accusatory pain in your heart.

Experience the Love of Jesus

MAY YOU EXPERIENCE THE LOVE OF CHRIST, THOUGH IT IS TOO GREAT TO UNDERSTAND FULLY. THEN YOU WILL BE MADE COMPLETE WITH ALL THE FULLNESS OF LIFE AND POWER THAT COMES FROM GOD
(Ephesians 3:19).

I live in the mountains and I love to take a walk each day on one particular dirt road that forms a complete circle.  During my walk, I always talk to God about everything and everyone in my life.  Sometimes I have specific questions for Him.  Sometimes I feel hopeless, lonely, or angry.  Sometimes I talk to God about a perturbing perception.  Sometimes I walk around the whole circle crying.  Sometimes I laugh and rejoice.  Whatever happens in my life, I share it all with God on my walks around the circle.

Do you know what?  I have noticed that the Lord Jesus has been walking with me around this circle of dirt road and giving me His Understanding, so I might know Him who is true.  There is this one particular spot in the circle where Jesus addressed my condemnation—where He clothed me with His Righteousness.  Then, there is the other spot where He addressed my shame—where he promised me that He + I = ENOUGH.  Then, there is the spot where He just embraced me with His Presence when I was going through the valley of the shadow of death.  On another spot, He addressed my rejection and crowned me with His Acceptance and Honor.  The whole circle is marked with spots where the Lord Jesus met with me.

I have EXPERIENCED the Love of Jesus on my walks, although it is too great to understand fully.  With each EXPERIENCE of His Presence, I have come to know Him better. Thus, He has been making me complete with all the fullness of Life and Power that comes from God.

WE KNOW ALSO THAT THE SON OF GOD HAS COME AND HAS GIVEN US UNDERSTANDING, SO THAT WE MAY KNOW HIM WHO IS TRUE
(1 John 5:20).

Have you experienced the Love of the Lord Jesus in your life, even though it is too great to fully understand?

If not, I encourage you to choose a special spot, somewhere, to communicate with Him, daily, about everything and everyone in your life.  Start where you are with your feelings of disappointment, loneliness, and despair.  Soon, by getting to know Him who is true, you will experience the Love of Christ in your heart, and you will be made complete.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I desire to walk with You through this life to experience Your Love when I feel forsaken, rejected, and condemned. I yearn for Your Embrace when I go through the valley of the shadow of death, so I may know You. I long to be made complete with all the Fullness of Life and Power that comes from God.

Maintain an Awareness
