IF THE SON MAKES YOU FREE, YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED
(John 8:36).
I bless you to believe that it is the Lord Jesus, God’s Son, who sets you free. However, it is YOUR responsibility to come to Him to be set free.
WE DEMOLISH ARGUMENTS AND EVERY PRETENSION THAT SETS ITSELF UP AGAINST THE KNOWLEDGE OF GOD, AND WE TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT TO MAKE IT OBEDIENT TO CHRIST
(2 Corinthians 10:5).
Be encouraged that Jesus came to set you free from the father-of-lies’ arguments in your mind that have set themselves up against God: that He does not love you, that He has abandoned you, and that He has condemned you.
Jesus also came to set you free from the father-of-lies’ arguments in your mind that have set themselves up against your Self: that you are guilty, that you are a disgrace, and that you are a loser.
However, it is YOUR responsibility to demolish these arguments by bringing them to Jesus, so He may tell you the Truth.
[GOD] CONDEMNED SIN IN THE FLESH [SUBDUED, OVERCAME, DEPRIVED IT OF ITS POWER OVER ALL WHO ACCEPT THAT SACRIFICE]
(Romans 8:3).
Know that you have set up certain defense mechanisms of escape to protect your Self from the father-of-lies’ arguments that live in your mind. These methods of defense will cause you to either freeze, flee, or fight when you encounter the lies of the father-of-lies.
The Lord Jesus has deprived the father-of-lies’ arguments of their power over you. However, it is YOUR responsibility to stop running and hiding from the pain these arguments have caused in your mind, and to stop blaming those who have hurt you. Rather, lay your sinful defense patterns down before the Lord Jesus. He will set you free from your Self.
God has done HIS part. Have you done yours?
PRAYER: Perfect Father, I praise You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to set me free. But, remind me, often, of MY responsibility to come to Him to be set free.

Accompanying the original childhood conclusions were the original childhood emotions. These emotions were inextricably locked together with the childhood conclusions, so that one could not be evoked without the other.
