This is a blessing for you, if you grew up without a blessing in your life—if you are wishing in vain that your earthly father or mother had blessed you as a child.
Did you grow up without a parent’s blessing, and now you are trying to meet a legitimate need in an illegitimate way? Have you become anxious or depressed over the loss of your earthly father’s or mother’s love and acceptance? Have you become lonely and protective after losing the blessing of an important person in your life? Have you become a perfectionist and a workaholic after missing that coveted blessing?
FROM THE FULLNESS OF HIS GRACE WE HAVE ALL RECEIVED ONE BLESSING AFTER ANOTHER
(John 1:16).
Capture that through the fullness of His Grace, your Perfect Father has made all the blessings available to you that you will ever need. Through His Son, Jesus, and His Gift, the Holy Spirit, you can receive the Blessing of Love, the Blessing of Hope, and the Blessing of Acceptance that you have always desired.
HOW GREAT IS THE LOVE THE FATHER HAS LAVISHED ON US, THAT WE SHOULD BE CALLED CHILDREN OF GOD!
(1 John 3:1).
Receive your Perfect Father’s Blessing:
THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU,
HE IS MIGHTY TO SAVE.
HE WILL TAKE GREAT DELIGHT IN YOU,
HE WILL QUIET YOU WITH HIS LOVE,
HE WILL REJOICE OVER YOU WITH SINGING
(Zephaniah 3:17).
What damage has the lack of a blessing during your childhood made to your heart? What are you going to do about this?
It is not too late to receive a blessing from your Perfect Father. Go to Him and ask Him to give you the blessing you never received from the significant people in your life, as a child.
PRAYER: Lord God, I come to You for a blessing—the Blessing of Acceptance. Let me see Your smile, as You take great delight in me. Let me hear Your song, as You rejoice over me with singing. Fill my heart with the Blessing of Hope through the fullness of Your Grace. Lavish Your Blessing of Love on me, as You call me by my name. You are mighty to save.

And here lies the root to all our problems: not the FACTS we experienced during our childhood circumstances…but the CONCLUSIONS we made in response to these facts.
