HE ANSWERED, ‘I HEARD YOU IN THE GARDEN, AND I WAS AFRAID BECAUSE I WAS NAKED; SO I HID’ AND HE SAID, ‘WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU WERE NAKED? HAVE YOU EATEN FROM THE TREE THAT I COMMANDED YOU NOT TO EAT FROM?’
(Genesis 3:10-11).
Our problem has always been with spiritual NAKEDNESS. It has caused a lot of shame in our lives…and this shame has caused us to run to various defense mechanisms of escape, control, and attack to cover our nakedness. But the more we try to cover up our nakedness, the more evident it becomes that we are naked—stripped of the Righteousness of God.
THE MAN SAID, ‘THE WOMAN YOU PUT HERE WITH ME—SHE GAVE ME SOME FRUIT FROM THE TREE, AND I ATE IT’
(Genesis 3:12).
“The husband you put here with me…it is his fault that I am naked.”
“The parents you put here with me…it is their fault that I am naked.”
“The coworker you put here with me…it is her fault that I am naked.”
FOR OUR STRUGGLE IS NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST THE RULERS, AGAINST THE AUTHORITIES, AGAINST THE POWERS OF THIS DARK WORLD AND AGAINST THE SPIRITUAL FORCES OF EVIL IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS
(Ephesians 6:12).
Dearest Child, you need to know that it is not the people in your life that caused your nakedness and shame, but the rebellious will of the father-of-lies. When you allow his rebellious will to reign in your life through your defense patterns, you are stripped of My Righteousness. You are naked.
Child, turn from your shame. Turn away from the rebellious will of the father-of-lies and your consequent defense patterns. Turn to Me. I will clothe you with My Robe of Righteousness. Your shame will disappear. So will your nakedness.
I WILL GREATLY REJOICE IN THE LORD, MY SOUL WILL EXULT IN MY GOD; FOR HE HAS CLOTHED ME WITH THE GARMENTS OF SALVATION, HE HAS COVERED ME WITH THE ROBE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, AS A BRIDEGROOM DECKS HIMSELF WITH A GARLAND, AND AS A BRIDE ADORNS HERSELF WITH HER JEWELS
(Isaiah 61:10).
Whom are you blaming for your nakedness? Understand that no defense mechanism you concoct will clothe you. You need the Garments of Salvation—the Robe of Righteousness that only the Lord Jesus can give you. Let Him clothe you with His Self.
PRAYER: Lord God, I admit that I am naked—stripped of Your Righteousness. Today, I acknowledge what You have done for me through Your Death and through Your resurrected Life—to redeem me from the will of the father-of-lies…and to clothe me with Your Righteousness.

Truth is not something logical we can produce from our own minds; instead, Truth is the supernatural reasoning of the Holy Spirit in our minds.
