Live by the Truth

I bless you to be able to let go of a situation where someone blamed you…where someone offended you…where someone wounded you.  May you be released from replaying the incident over and over again in your mind, trying in vain to logically understand what happened and why it happened. Know that it is not what happened that matters, but what the father-of-lies got you to believe about this incident. This is called DECEPTION.

NOW THE SERPENT WAS MORE CRAFTY THAN ANY OF THE WILD ANIMALS THE LORD GOD HAD MADE
(Genesis 3:1).

Accept that you cannot logically out-reason the deception of the accuser with your mind.  He is the father-of-lies and he has a lot more experience with deception than you will ever have.  He will fill you with lies about your offender, AND he will fill your offender with lies about you.  Your mind is not capable of out-reasoning the deception of the enemy, because this deception blinds your understanding.

SANCTIFY THEM BY THE TRUTH
(John 17:17).

Celebrate that Jesus provides a way out of your dilemma—to live by the Truth.  Understand that the Truth comes from God.  It is not an invention of your understanding. It is not something you can create by yourself.  It is a gift from God, when you yield your understanding—along with the deception—to Him.

HOW SWEET ARE YOUR WORDS TO MY TASTE, SWEETER THAN HONEY TO MY MOUTH! I GAIN UNDERSTANDING FROM YOUR PRECEPTS; THEREFORE I HATE EVERY WRONG PATH
(Psalm 119:103-104).

How have you been dealing with the situations where someone blamed you, offended you, or harmed you in some way or the other? Do you try to logically reason the pain away, trying to fix your heart by yourself? What arguments have you concocted to out-reason the father-of-lies? Have these brought your heart permanent relief?

If not, I have another suggestion—the Truth! The Truth speaks to your heart. The Truth takes the pain away. The Truth will set you free from the situation AND its effects on your heart. But, you need to stop trying to find the answers through your on understanding. They are not there. They are in the Truth. His name is Jesus Christ, God’s Son.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I come to You, the Truth. I bring You the situation that hurt me. I also bring You my perturbing perceptions that derived from this situation—the deception. I seek permanent relief from both the situation and the deception that resulted from the circumstances. May I gain understanding from Your Words, because I hate every wrong path of deception.

Maintain an Awareness

We have all eaten from the fruit of deception—believing and accepting negative, destructive beliefs about ourselves, God, and others that are not true.
