I once had a big desire in my heart. There was something I really wanted. Every day, as I brought my request to God, I wondered why God would even want to answer me. Why would He honor my request? Why would He grant my wish? Why would He care about my desires? I decided to ask Him.

He answered:

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING, BUT IN EVERY SITUATION, BY PRAYER AND PETITION, WITH THANKSGIVING, PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD
(Philippians 4:6).

Precious Child, simply bring your request to Me, just the way you hear it from your heart. Because you are My child and you have a daily, intimate relationship with Me, you do not need to conjure up reasons for Me to answer you.

I am your PERFECT FATHER. I give when you ask, because I know you. I open the doors when you knock, because you are Mine. I let you find what you are looking for, because we have a relationship.

ASK AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND; KNOCK AND THE DOOR WILL BE OPENED TO YOU.  FOR EVERYONE WHO ASKS RECEIVES; THE ONE WHO SEEKS FINDS; AND TO THE ONE WHO KNOCKS, THE DOOR WILL BE OPENED
(Matthew 7:7-8).

Child of God, stop trying to find reasons for God to answer your prayers. Know that the Perfect Father wants to answer your prayer simply because you are His child and He loves you. He wants you to experience your PERFECT FATHER: someone who is entirely without fault and defect…someone who is pure and complete…someone who corresponds to an ideal standard.

‘BECAUSE HE LOVES ME,’ SAYS THE LORD, ‘I WILL RESCUE HIM; I WILL PROTECT HIM, FOR HE ACKNOWLEDGES MY NAME. HE WILL CALL ON ME, AND I WILL ANSWER HIM; I WILL BE WITH HIM IN TROUBLE, I WILL DELIVER HIM AND HONOR HIM. WITH LONG LIFE I WILL SATISFY HIM AND SHOW HIM MY SALVATION’
(Psalm 91:14-16).

Are you anxious about something? Is your heart troubled with concern and disquietude? Is there a specific desire in your heart? Simply bring your request to your Heavenly Father, because He is YOUR Father…and He is perfect.

PRAYER: Perfect Father, I enter Your throne room, and bring my request to You, in the way You taught me. How encouraging to know that I do not have to come up with reasons why You should answer me. You simply value my request, because I am Your child and You love me. You honor our relationship.
