BE OF SOBER SPIRIT, BE ON THE ALERT. YOUR ADVERSARY, THE DEVIL, PROWLS AROUND LIKE A ROARING LION, SEEKING SOMEONE TO DEVOUR
(1 Peter 5:8).

In Africa, where I grew up, the roaring lion sometimes prowls around a herd of elephants (YES, ELEPHANTS!) in the hope of scaring a young one away from the rest of the herd.  As long as the little elephants stay in the presence of the adults, they are safe.  But sometimes, a young elephant panics, separates itself from the rest of the herd, and then starts to run.  That is exactly what the hungry lion wants.  The little elephant is now defenseless against the sharp claws of the lion that will tear it apart…until nothing is left.

THE THIEF COMES ONLY TO STEAL AND KILL AND DESTROY; I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE, AND HAVE IT TO THE FULL
(John 10:10).

Precious Child, be on your guard! You have a cruel, raging enemy, prowling around, incessantly, like a roaring lion, looking for a chance to tear you apart. He already has a path of destruction selected for you…and he wants to make sure that you take it. Know that your enemy does not attack from the outside.  Rather, he attacks from the inside, using his negative, destructive beliefs “YOU ARE UNLOVED AND UNLOVABLE” to lead you down his path of destruction.

I PRAY ALSO FOR THOSE WHO WILL BELIEVE IN ME THROUGH THEIR MESSAGE, THAT ALL OF THEM MAY BE ONE, FATHER, JUST AS YOU ARE IN ME AND I AM IN YOU
(John 17: 20-21).

Child, I can protect you from the roaring lion, but you need to cultivate ONENESS with Me. To be protected from the lion, it is not enough for Me to be IN YOU.  You also need to stay IN ME! When you come into My Truth, I will protect you from the enemy’s suggestions that you are unloved and unlovable.  Then you will not go down the path of destruction laid out for you.

What are you going to do about the suggestions in your mind that label you NOT LOVED and NOT LOVABLE?  Are you going to follow them down the path of destruction, or are you going to stay in God’s Presence and let Him protect you from the roaring lion with His Truth? Know that your choice will make the difference whether you will have Peace, Hope, and Love, today…or whether you will be destroyed by the roaring lion.

PRAYER: Perfect Father, how fully You have furnished us with Peace, Hope, and Love through Your Presence.  Not only have You sent us Your Son, so that we might live from Him and escape the cruel suggestions of the evil one, but You also sent us Your Spirit of Truth to protect us from the path of destruction. May I be willing to live my life in ONENESS with You, Perfect Father, in fellowship with the Lord Jesus, and in obedience to the Spirit of Truth.
