May Christ Make You Complete

Have you ever run into a situation where you felt controlled by someone…overpowered by another person…violated by a friend’s lack of respect?  I have!  God showed me there was a reason for this—the gap in my heart.  I was incomplete…deficient…unfinished, and that left my heart susceptible to feelings of control and manipulation, whenever someone exercised directing or restraining influence over me.

CHRIST, WHO FILLS ALL THINGS EVERYWHERE WITH HIMSELF
(Ephesians 1:23).

Capture that Christ wants to fill you with His Self, so you may become complete…whole…Christ-contained.  He wants to fill the gap in your heart with His Presence to make you complete in every good work to do His Will. When this fulfillment happens in your heart, you will stop feeling overpowered and domineered by others.

NOW MAY THE GOD OF PEACE WHO BROUGHT UP OUR LORD JESUS FROM THE DEAD, THAT GREAT SHEPHERD OF THE SHEEP, THROUGH THE BLOOD OF THE EVERLASTING COVENANT, MAKE YOU COMPLETE IN EVERY GOOD WORK TO DO HIS WILL, WORKING IN YOU WHAT IS WELL PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, TO WHOM BE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER
(Hebrews 13:20-21).

You need to understand that if someone is trying to control you, it is the controller’s problem.  However, if you FEEL controlled and violated by the controller, it is YOUR problem.  The God of Peace wants to make you complete through the blood of the Everlasting Covenant, so you may be entirely fulfilled, lacking nothing.

BUT LET PATIENCE HAVE ITS PERFECT WORK, THAT YOU MAY BE PERFECT AND COMPLETE, LACKING NOTHING
(James 1:4).

Do you have a gap in your heart, making you susceptible to feelings of control and manipulation? There might be a part of your heart that is not yet filled with Christ?

Bring your incompetence to God, so He may do His perfect work in you.  You will become complete—filled with Christ—so the next time someone tries to control you, she will not encounter a gap…but Jesus Christ.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, fill me with Your Self, until I am perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Then, there will be no gap in my heart that renders me susceptible to feelings of control and manipulation. Instead, I will be complete in every good work to practice what is well pleasing in Your sight.

How often do we find ourselves doing “good deeds,” just to find out that our “good deeds” were not really good, but merely a reaction to the OLD MAN belief “You are bad”?
