Let Go of the Charge

Do you struggle with the thought that nobody understands you…that nobody knows who you are…that nobody understands the way you function?  Do you feel that you are a mystery: inexplicable…baffling…insolvable?

Maybe you were mistreated and misunderstood as a child and given no chance to justify your actions.  Maybe you were left seething with anger and disappointment, believing that you had no defense. Maybe you perceived that there was no way of being released from the charge, because there was no way of setting things right.

THE LORD DOES NOT LOOK AT THE THINGS MAN LOOKS AT. MAN LOOKS AT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE, BUT THE LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART
(1 Samuel 16:7).

Precious Child, you need to know that I, the Most High, understand you…and also understood you when you were a child.  I, your Perfect Father, do not look at the things man looks at.  Man looks at the outward appearance, but I can see your heart. Be comforted that I know your heart…and I knew your heart when you were a child.  Your Perfect Father never misunderstands and I never misunderstood you when you were a child.

KNOW YE THAT THE LORD HE IS GOD: IT IS HE THAT HATH MADE US, AND NOT WE OURSELVES; WE ARE HIS PEOPLE, AND THE SHEEP OF HIS PASTURE
(Psalm 100:3).

I bless you to be comforted.  The God who made you understands you.  No thought is withheld from Him. You can let go of the charge.

I KNOW THAT THOU CANST DO EVERY THING, AND THAT NO THOUGHT CAN BE WITHHOLDEN FROM THEE
(Job 42:2).

Was there a time during your childhood when you were treated unfairly, because you were not understood? In the meantime, has this caused resentment, fear, and confusion to develop in your heart?

Are you tired of living with the resentment, fear, and confusion that have settled in your heart? Invite God’s Presence and Participation into the painful feeling of being misunderstood. Allow Him to look into your heart…and set things right.

PRAYER: Lord God, how comforting to know that You can see what is in my heart.  How good to know that You know the Truth, even when others misunderstand me. Please come into my heart and set me free from the pain of being misunderstood. Fill me with Your comforting Truth.

Maintain an Awareness

We need to acknowledge that we cannot free our spirits, souls, and bodies from the entanglement of the OLD MAN’s rebellious will. But, with our free will, we can choose to go to the Person who can—the Lord Jesus Christ, who came to live HIS NEW MAN Life in us, in the place of the OLD MAN.
