Everyone Is Fighting the Same Battle

BE SELF-CONTROLLED AND ALERT. YOUR ENEMY THE DEVIL PROWLS AROUND LIKE A ROARING LION LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO DEVOUR. RESIST HIM, STANDING FIRM IN THE FAITH, BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOUR BROTHERS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD ARE UNDERGOING THE SAME KIND OF SUFFERINGS
(1 Peter 5:8-9).

I bless you today to take note that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of suffering you are.  Yes, everybody has the father-of-lies as an enemy…not only you.  He came to kill, steal, and destroy all…not only you.  He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour…not only you.

Deception is the practice of luring someone into beliefs that are not true.  This is the father-of-lies’ weapon.  Grasp that your brothers throughout the world have been victimized by deception…not only you.

THIS IS HOW WE KNOW WHAT LOVE IS: JESUS CHRIST LAID DOWN HIS LIFE FOR US. AND WE OUGHT TO LAY DOWN OUR LIVES FOR OUR BROTHERS
(1 John 3:16).

May you receive and display God’s Love and Compassion when someone believes falsities, when someone shows poor judgment, and when someone fails you.  May you understand that the father-of-lies stole their truth, killed their joy, and destroyed their hope, too.

Therefore, be self-controlled and alert. RESIST being lured into beliefs that are not true.  STAND FIRM in your Faith.  EMBRACE the Truth.  Then PASS THIS ON to your brothers, who also grapple with deception.

BE KIND. REMEMBER EVERYONE YOU MEET IS FIGHTING A HARD BATTLE
(T. H. Thompson).

How will you treat those who fail you: with criticism, complaint, and control…or by trying to understand how they (and you) have been deceived by the father-of-lies?

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, remind me, daily, that I am not the only one suffering, but that everyone around me has been lured into deception, just like me. Fill me with Your Love and Compassion, so I may pass these on to those around me, whose truth, joy, and hope have been stolen by the father-of-lies.
