Come to God First

COME UNTO ME, ALL YE THAT LABOUR AND ARE HEAVY LADEN, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST
(Matthew 11:28).

I bless you to come to the Lord Jesus, first, when you are heavy laden, BEFORE you seek the advice and comfort of your friends and family.

IF ANY MAN THIRST, LET HIM COME UNTO ME, AND DRINK
(John 7:37).

FOR HE SATISFIES THE THIRSTY AND FILLS THE HUNGRY WITH GOOD THINGS
(Psalm 107:9).

Capture that the Lord Jesus will satisfy your thirst and fill you with good things—things that your friends and family cannot do for you or give you.

AND YE WILL NOT COME TO ME, THAT YE MIGHT HAVE LIFE
(John 5:40).

Grasp that when you submit your dead soul to the Lord Jesus, He will give you Life—something your spouse cannot grant you.

I AM COME A LIGHT INTO THE WORLD, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH ON ME SHOULD NOT ABIDE IN DARKNESS
(John 12:46).

Know that when you expose your darkness to the Lord Jesus, He will fill you with His Light—something your children or parents cannot do for you.

CHRIST JESUS, WHO HAS BECOME FOR US WISDOM FROM GOD—THAT IS, OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS AND REDEMPTION
(1 Corinthians 1:30).

Believe that when you turn your bitterness, rage, and resentment over to the Lord Jesus, He will cover you with the Wisdom from God—Righteousness, Holiness, and Redemption—qualities no human is capable of producing, not even your mom or dad.

To whom do you turn when you are heavy laden and need a drink of Living Water? What do you do with the darkness in your soul? What do you do about the jealousy, hatred, and bitterness in your heart?

The Lord Jesus, your Redeemer, is waiting for you to give you a drink of His Living Water. What is keeping you from turning to Him? Why do you keep looking for answers in all the wrong places, from all the wrong people?

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I praise You for being my Light in the darkness, my Power in my weakness, my Redeemer for my iniquities, and my Rest in times of turmoil. I come to Your to receive all You have for me.

Maintain an Awareness

Be certain that your Father DOES answer your prayers, but His Answer might be different from the one you are expecting.  It might be radical… revolutionary…extreme.  His Answer might not fit your purpose, but it will fit God’s Purpose for you.
