A Relationship of Obedience and Revelation

JESUS GAVE THEM THIS ANSWER: ‘I TELL YOU THE TRUTH, THE SON CAN DO NOTHING BY HIMSELF; HE CAN DO ONLY WHAT HE SEES HIS FATHER DOING, BECAUSE WHATEVER THE FATHER DOES THE SON ALSO DOES. FOR THE FATHER LOVES THE SON AND SHOWS HIM ALL HE DOES’
(John 5:19-20).

Take notice of the relationship between Jesus and the Perfect Father.  Jesus does not do anything by Himself.  He only does what He sees His Father doing.  As a result, the Father reveals Himself to Jesus.  He shows Jesus all He does, and then the circle of events continues—Jesus does what the Father shows Him.

WE ALL, LIKE SHEEP, HAVE GONE ASTRAY, EACH OF US HAS TURNED TO OUR OWN WAY; AND THE LORD HAS LAID ON HIM THE INIQUITY OF US ALL
(Isaiah 53:6).

Precious One, each of you has turned to your own way. Each of you likes to serve Me in your own way, because you think your own righteous deeds please Me; however, if your righteous deeds do not sprout from a relationship with Me, they mean nothing to Me. If your righteous serving does not allow My Son to “do only what He sees His Father doing” through you, it is meaningless.

WHOEVER HAS MY COMMANDS AND OBEYS THEM, HE IS THE ONE WHO LOVES ME.  HE WHO LOVES ME WILL BE LOVED BY MY FATHER, AND I TOO WILL LOVE HIM AND SHOW MYSELF TO HIM
(John 14:21).

Child, the same relationship of obedience and revelation I had with My Son, Jesus, I long to have with you, as well.

This means that you need to spend time with ME and listen to My Words…My Voice…My Counsel. During your time of listening, I will show you what I am doing, where I am working, and how I need you. If you want to please Me, you need to hear and obey by allowing My Son to “do only what He sees His Father doing” through you.

How do you serve the Perfect Father: by doing your own thing for Him, or allowing His Son to “do only what He sees His Father doing” through you? Do you understand the difference?

Stop doing your own thing, especially when it comes to serving God. Find out, instead, what the Father wants to do in and through your life. This is where you will find the Lord Jesus, too, busying Himself with what the Father is doing.

PRAYER: Lord God, help me to be like Jesus—to do nothing by myself, but only participate in what I see You doing, whether that be IN my life, or THROUGH my life.

We have all eaten from the fruit of deception—believing and accepting negative, destructive beliefs about ourselves, God, and others that are not true.
